  • October 7, 2015, 6:00–7:00 PM —American Philosophical Society (APS) Museum, Philadelphia, PA. — Title: “Thomas Jefferson: Birder in Chief” — The event took place in Philosophical Hall, which was home to the APS for 200 years (including during Jefferson’s tenure as APS President), and also was an early location of the Peale Museum. An amazing array of Jefferson-era artifacts were on display including William Bartram’s personal copy of Bartram’s Travels and one of Meriwether Lewis’ journals from the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
